Obituary for Olivia Lopez
Olivia Lopez, 79, a long-time resident of Hollis, Oklahoma, passed away February 11, 2021, at her home in Hollis, Oklahoma, surrounded by her family.
Olivia was born June 3, 1941, in Wharton, Texas, to Aldolfo and Guadalupe Gomez. She was raised in Navasota, Texas. In 1977 Olivia and her family moved to Hollis, Oklahoma. She met and married Lupe Lopez in Hollis, Oklahoma on April 2, 1984. Olivia worked many jobs, but her passion was always in cooking and the restaurant industry. She managed El Sombrero for several years before starting her own restaurants. Owning and operating her own restaurants had always been her goal. She achieved this goal by opening and running her two restaurants El Cantarito and Little Mexico, both in Hollis, Oklahoma. A big part of her life was devoted to the teaching of Jesus Christ, who was her personal Lord and savior. She was a long time member of Templo La Hermosa in Hollis, Oklahoma. She enjoyed cooking, sewing but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was greeted at heaven's gate by her parents, Aldolfo and Guadalupe Gomez, two brothers, Henry Gomez, Juan Garcia; Sisters, Benita Lopez, Irma Amador, Juana Maria De La Cruz, Baby Josphina Gomez; daughters, Mary Helen Espino, Mary Manuela Esparsa; grandchildren, Lionel Gracia, and Bryan Michael Puentes.
Left to honor her memory is her loving husband of thirty-six years, Lupe Lopez of the home, her children, Frank Esparsa and Rachel of Bryan, Texas, Paul Esparsa and wife Lisa of Hollis, Oklahoma, Nary Minerva and Simon Guzman of Hollis, Oklahoma, Mary Dora Garcia of Hollis, Oklahoma, Mary Hope Esparsa of Hollis, Oklahoma, Barbara Puentes and husband Federico of Hollis, Oklahoma. and Susie Salas and husband Issac of Hollis, Oklahoma.
A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, February 13, 2021, at Harmon County Funeral Home, Hollis, Oklahoma.
Services are under the direction of Harmon County Funeral Home in Hollis, Oklahoma.
