Obituary for Ollie Bell Brooks
Ollie Bell Brooks, age 60 of Altus, Oklahoma passed away on Sunday, November 2, 1997 in the Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus.
Ollie was born on February 4, 1937 in Henderson Texas to James and Dessie Williams O'Quinn. She married Charlie brooks on June 18, 1973 and had lived in the Altus community for the last 24 years. Ollie was employed at the Altus High School as a cook for many years and also worked as a skilled nurse. Ollie served the Altus community for many years and was a dedicated mother, wife, and Christian.
Services will be Thursday, November 6, 1997 at 2:00pm at the Church of God in Christ in Altus. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery, under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
Survivors include husband Charlie Brooks of Altus, Oklahoma; children Lisa McBride of Altus, Oklahoma, Shirley Blackburn of Lawton, Oklahoma, JoAnn Terry of Vernon, Texas, David Cooper of Hobart, Oklahoma, Stepsons Alfonzo Brooks, of Dallas, Texas, Tommy Brooks of Dallas, Texas; one sister Eula Ware of Wichita Falls, Texas; 19 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother.
