Obituary for Ollie Mae Hart
Ollie Mae Hart, 76, long time Altus resident passed away Monday, September 27, 2010 in the Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton.
Ollie was born December 16, 1933 in Columbia, Louisiana to Robert and Maggie Pope. She married David Hart in Dover, Delaware on August 23, 1969. David preceded her in death January 23, 2002.
Mrs. Hart was a member of the Highland Heights Methodist Church. She was very active in her community and belonged to several clubs and organizations including The Red Hat Society, The Democratic Women, The Home Extension Club and the Lion"s Club. She had worked Jackson County Memorial Hospital for many years working in both the Emergency Room and on the OB floor. Ollie was a very compassionate individual and enjoyed looking after all of her friends and family both in and out of the Hospital. She was a very special lady who will be missed by the multitudes who knew her.
Ollie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David; one son, Richard Johnson; her brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Alberta Knighton; a son-in-law, Razzie Harmon and by three granddaughters, Patsy Brown, Brenda Tamez and Tiara Hall.
She is lovingly survived by her children, Rosalyn and Andrew Hall of Altus and Wanda Harmon of Orlando, Florida, Bobby Wingfield of Federal Way, Washington, Hardy Wingfield of Compton, California, Ernest Wingfield of Germany, Warren Hart of Little Rock, Arkansas, Judy and Curtis Liles of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Ron and Julie Lucus of Altus, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Jacquetta Riley, Erica Harris, Ashia Harmon, Margaret Shaw, Sondra Webb, Shenetta Roblez, Kathy Hall, Brenda Moore, Jessica Williams, Kendra Williams, Jeremy Harris, Terry Hall, Christopher Hall, and Kevin Harmon. Also surviving are special friends, Jeannie Hill, Fannie Crowley, Woodine "Woody" Roudebush, Zolia Balque, Monetta Devine, Glenda Hill, Gayla Hill and Gary Hill; and by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends.
Funeral services have been scheduled for 11:00 am, Saturday, October 2, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Robert Bostic, Rev. Jan Oden and Rev. Robert Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in the Altus City Cemetery. All arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
The family will receive guests at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home from 6:30 " 8:00 pm Friday evening. Memorials may be made in Ollie Hart"s name to the Red Cross or the Susan G. Coleman
