Oma J. Voorhies age 86 of Altus died Sunday at Comanche County Hospital in Lawton. Mrs. Voorhies was born in Olustee on February 10, 1905 to Oscar T. and Ella Melissa Moss. On December 28, 1927 she married Oran Voorhies in Altus. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Altus. Mrs. Voorhies had been a office clerk a the Traders Compress for many years.

Funeral services for Oma Voorhies are scheduled for 2:00pm Wednesday at the Lowell-Tims funeral chapel with burial to follow at the Altus Cemetery. Rev. Carl McCoy will officiate.

Mrs. Voorhies is survived by he sister Leona Herring of Altus, nephew ed and Bell Cox, Seguin, Texas.

Mrs. Voorhies was preceded in death by her husband Oran Voorhies in 1979, parents, one brother, Otis T. Moss.
