Obituary for Omar Lopez
Omar Lopez, 41, resident of Altus, Oklahoma passed September 24, 2019 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Omar was born on July 19, 1978 in Hollis, Oklahoma to Pedro and Sara (Romo) Lopez. Omar was raised and educated in Hollis, Oklahoma graduating in 1998. On October 14, 1998 Omar married Monica Jess Pantoja. The young family moved to Altus, Oklahoma in 2003. Omar worked at Red River Credit Union in Altus, Oklahoma as Assistant Vice President of Collections and Security. He was a Cleet certified security officer. Omar enjoyed hunting, fishing, working his land, traveling, but most of all, he enjoyed being around his family. Saying he was a proud father of his four children would be a great understatement, he loved to watch his kids play sports and was their biggest fan. Omar was always on the go and couldn't sit still for long. He attended Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hollis, Oklahoma.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Domingo Lopez, maternal grandfather Faustino Romo, maternal grandmother Dominga Narvaez, and a niece Elizabeth Pantoja.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years Monica Lopez, Son; Alejandro Omar Lopez, three Daughters; Rachelle Marisol Lopez, Alana René Lopez, Myah Angelina Lopez, parents; Pedro and Sara Lopez of Hollis, Ok, two Brothers; Juan Pedro Lopez and wife Patsy of Dodge City, Ks, Cesar Lopez and wife Melinda of Altus, Ok, Three sisters; Martha Hernandez and husband Mateo of Hollis, Ok, Sara Saldana and husband Gustavo of Hollis, Ok, Irene Bermudez and husband Melchor of Hollis, Ok, and his wonderful work family, Red River Federal Credit Union.
A rosary service will be 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Sunday September 29, 2019 at Harmon County Funeral Home, Hollis, Oklahoma.
A Mass of Christian burial will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 30, 2019 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Hollis, Oklahoma, Interment will follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Hollis, Oklahoma.
