Obituary for Patricia A. Decker
Patricia A. Decker, 65, resident of Altus, Oklahoma, gained her heavenly wings on Friday September 4, 2020.
Patricia was born in Bakersfield, California on February 24, 1955 to her parents Willie Lee Harris and Clara Mae Jefferson. She was raised and educated in Altus, Oklahoma and attended Lincoln High School. On December 18, 2002 in Altus, Oklahoma Patricia married the love of her life Bruce Decker. They enjoyed 17 years of marriage living in Bakersfield, California, Lewiston, Maine, and Altus, Oklahoma. She worked many years at Val's Restaurant in Altus, Oklahoma. Patricia retired from her job in 2008. She was a member of the Tabernacle Church in Altus, Oklahoma and First Baptist Church of Altus, Oklahoma. She was a very religious woman and was considered the Queen and Matriarch of the family. Patricia was a perfect mother and grandmother. She loved to give back to her community and always cooked for her family and friends. Some of her favorite pastime activities were spending precious time with her beloved grandchildren.
Patricia is survived by her husband Bruce Decker of the home; two sons, Kevin Harris and wife Marilyn of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Olton Harris of Altus, Oklahoma; two daughters, Stephanie Harris of Altus, Oklahoma, Tamika Harris of Lewiston, Maine; four brothers Bobby Harris of Los Angeles, California, Eddie Ray Harris of Altus, Oklahoma, Donnie Harris of Altus, Oklahoma and Robert Harris of Enid, Oklahoma; two sisters Virginia Vickers of Altus, Oklahoma, and Gloria Oliver of Albany, New York, Pamela Crowley of Altus, Oklahoma; fourteen grandchildren Da'Shaniece Dow, Ki'Ondra Carter, Gerard Harris, Jazznae Harris, DaBree Harris, Keveon "JoJo" Lopez, Tyshawn Massenburg, Victoria Harris, Victasia Harris, Masya Way, Zerenity Harris, Olton "OJ" Harris, Omar'E Harris, and Oh'Mazin Harris; the father of her children, Herbert Harris; along with seven great-grandchildren.
Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, Willie Lee Harris and Clara Mae Jefferson; one sister Pearline Harris-Shaw; one grandchild Zarius Harris; and one nephew Steve Shaw.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Lowell - Tims Funeral Home and Crematory, Altus, Oklahoma, with interment to follow at Altus City Cemetery, Altus, Oklahoma.
