reel. As a teenager, Patricia taught swimming for the City of Altus and was a lifeguard at the City Pool and at the Officer's Club at Altus Air Force Base. In high school, she was a member of That Altus Band, Pep Band, mixed chorus, and glee club. She was named
Miss Altus Amvets in 1958 and participated in two beauty contests that summer. She
was a member and past president of the Altus Literary Club, a member of the
Southwestern Oklahoma Republican Women's Club, a past president of the local AARP
and active in many charities. She served on the Altus City Council until April 2023,
representing Ward II and all of the citizens of Altus. She was a member of the First
Presbyterian Church in Altus.
