Obituary for Patrick Leroy Corrigan
Patrick "Pat" Leroy Corrigan, age 68, died at his residence northeast of Altus early Saturday morning. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Bishop Robert Duckworth will conduct the services. Burial will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
Pat was born November 22, 1939 in Texas City, Texas to Elmer Leroy Corrigan and Harriett Madalyn Wilson. He married Shirley Ann Roach April 11, 1986. He worked as an Insulator for The International Association of Heat and Frost Insulator and Asbestos Workers Local 22 until his retirement in 1987.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and as a young man served as a missionary in the Northwest Idaho Mission. After his return he continued to serve in many capacities with the church. Pat was an avid horseman throughout his life.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Corrigan of the home. Children: Tracie Campbell of Vidor, Texas, Pate Corrigan of Boston, Massachusetts, Terri Corrigan of Georgia, Steven Roach of Altus, Brenda Arrington of Vidor, Texas, Deborah Sells of Piedmont, Oklahoma, Mike Roach of Tyler, Texas and Kenneth Roach also of Tyler.
Additional survivors include two (2) brothers: Ernest Corrigan of Lawton, Oklahoma and Robert Corrigan and his wife Robin of Ardmore, Oklahoma. One (1) sister, Judy Lunt and husband Ned of San Antonio, Texas. Thirteen (13) grandchildren and nine (9) great-grandchildren.
There will be a visitation Monday evening where the family can meet with their friends at the funeral home from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Messages to the family can be sent on-line to www.lowell-tims.com
