PAUL JOSEPH BEAULIEU



Paul Joseph Beauliew, 61. Altus, passed away Thursday, November 9, 2006, at his home.

P.J. was born on June 1, 1945, in Central Falls, Rhode Island, to Gerard Joseph and Bertha (Tangue) Beaulieu. At the age of 18, he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he went on to become an aircraft hydraulic system mechanic. He served three tours in Vietnam, where he earned several awards to include a Air Force Commendation Medal, an Air Force Achievement Medal with five Oak Leaf Clusters, and a Good Conduct Medal with six Oak Leaf Clusters. He reenlisted numerous times and served a total of 22 years for his country. While in the service, P.J. earned his Associate Degree in Applied Science from the Community College of the Air Force and his Masters Degree in Economics from the University of Maryland. After the Military, P.J. worked as a Civil Service employee for several bowling centers throughout Europe as manager. Some of the places included San Veto, Italy, Incirlik, Turkey, Lajes Field Azores Portugal, Altus AFB, and R A F Bentwaters, where he met his wife Linda(Conway) Beaulieu. They married September 23, 1993, in Incirlik, Turkey.

Preceded in death by his parents, P.J. is survived by his wife, Linda, of the home in Altus; six sons, P.J. Beaulieu, Jr., Kenneth Beaulieu, Kevin Beaulieu, Kevin Beaulieu, Colin Turnbull, and Richard Turnbull. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Noah, Joshua, Andrew, Kenny. Josh, Angelica. Diego, Dartanya, Malachi, and Jordan.

A Rosary will be held 7 pm, Wednesday, November 15, at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church with Reverend Joseph H Arledge officiating. Arrangements are with Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
