Paul Olbera, 60, Altus, passed away at his home in Altus, Oklahoma on Saturday, November 23, 2024, following a lengthy illness.
Paul Olbera, 60, Altus, passed away at his home in Altus, Oklahoma on Saturday, November 23, 2024, following a lengthy illness.
Paul was born on February 19, 1964, in Clinton, Oklahoma to Thomas Olbera and Martha Vela. He grew up in Wauchula, Florida where he graduated from Hardee Senior High School. Paul worked in construction while living in San Antonio, Texas, retiring in 2010. He then switched careers and worked as an aircraft mechanic for the United States Air Force in Indianapolis, Indiana until his health started to decline. Paul then moved to Altus where he met Nancy Vincent and the two made a life commitment in May 1992. Paul enjoyed fishing, barbecuing, and spending time with his family and friends. In his free time, he would be working on carpentry projects, playing pool, swimming, and hunting. Always cleaning the game he acquired from hunting.
Paul was preceded in death by his wife of 24 years, Nancy; his parents, Pete and Martha Aldape; a daughter, Kiki Vincent; and a sister, Angela Aldape.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Joseph Vincent, Ralph Vincent, Angel Vincent, and Sebastian Vincent; a daughter, Lisa Vincent; a brother, James Hernandez; two sisters, Debra Hernandez and Nikki Hernandez; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Rebecca Vincent; a brother-in-law, Ralph Rodrigues; and many other nieces, nephews, and friends.
Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at the Altus City Cemetery with Rev. Guadalupe Gonzales officiating. Services and burial are under the care of the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home and Crematory.
