Obituary for Pearl Anna Mae Sumrall
Pearl Anna Mae Sumrall was born February 21st, 1904 at Alvarado, Texas. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Emma Norris. She died September 18th, 1994 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. She married Jesse B. Sumrall September 4, 1926 and he preceded her in death April 4, 1970. She was a longtime resident of Altus and Jackson County having resided here since 1922. She was a Baptist, a member of Rebecca's, the Crepe Myrtle unit of the Altus Garden Club Council, the Clinton Garden Club and the Gladiolus Club. She had held several offices in the club's to which she belonged. She had also won numerous awards with her gardening and flowers.

Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, at the Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Sonny Tims officiating. Interment will be in the Restlawn Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Jesse B. Sumrall; a daughter, Frances Irene Newton; five brothers; one sister.

Survivors include: a daughter, Betty J. Pelfrey of Altus, OK; four grandchildren, Carla Lowry, Gary Pelfrey, D'Anne Hawk and Lawrence W. Newton; 12 great-grandchildren
