Obituary for Phyllis Colene Osborne
Phyllis Colene Lauen Osborne passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at Comanche County Memorial Hospital at the age of 80.
She was born August 12, 1931, in Mountain Park, Oklahoma to Ethel (Berkley) and Earl Holder. She married Eugene Chandler Lauen January 26, 1951 . Together they raised two children, Sharon Navelle and Lewis Eugene "Butch".
Phyllis was a life long resident of Southwest Oklahoma. She worked for Don Kizzier at Kizziar's Feed Lot, retiring in 2006 after 34 years. Following her retirement, she was a volunteer Pink Lady at Jackson County Memorial Hospital up to her passing. Phyllis attended First Christian Church of Lone Wolf, Oklahoma.
She married Clayton Victor Osborne February 4, 2006 and shared 5 1/2 wonderful years together. Phyllis loved making new friends as well as visiting with her old friends. Her closest friends were her dogs, Tinker Bell, Little Man and Babe. She was a wonderful lady who will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene "EC" Lauen, her parents, and a sister Arleta Holder Bertwell.
Phyllis is survived by her husband Clayton Osborne of the home; her daughter, Sharon Puckett and husband Larry of Blair, Oklahoma; her son, Lewis Eugene "Butch" Lauen of Altus; one sister, Mozelle Wood of Port Angeles, Washington; three granddaughters, Trina Lynn Lauen, Roxanne Ribeiro Of Swindon, UK and Angel Dawn Baartman of Kingfisher, OK. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren, Annabelle Rose Ribeiro, Kirstin Jolie Ribeiro, Kaden Dean Baartman, Konner Dade Baartman and Korbie Dee Baartman; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services have been scheduled for 11:00 am, Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Lowell-Tims Chapel with Chaplain Erin Martinez officiating. Interment will follow in the Mountain Park Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
