Obituary for Phyllis Raye Allen
Phyllis Raye Allen, age 47, of Olustee, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, February 23rd, 1998 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital, after a lengthy illness. She was born November 19th, 1950 at Guymon, OK to the late Cecil R. Wilson and Bessie Mae (Kenemer) Wilson. Phyllis and Roger Allen were united in marriage May 31, 1969 at Altus, Oklahoma. She graduated from Altus High School in 1968 and from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 1980. Phyllis taught Kindergarden at Olustee School for 17 years. She was a member of the Olustee Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband Roger Allen of the home in Olustee, Oklahoma; two children, Beau Allen of Enid, OK and Brandi Allen of Altus, Oklahoma; three sisters, Judy Conrad and Tina Hankins both of Altus, Oklahoma and Jean Cline of Eva, OK.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil R. Wilson and Bessie Mae (Kenemer) Wilson.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, February 26th, 1998 at 10:00 a.m. in the Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Keith Wiginton II officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
A Phyllis Allen Memorial Scholarship Fund has been set up at the First National Bank in Altus, Oklahoma.
