McCASLIN
Ralph W. McCaslin, age 76, of Reed, passed away early Sunday morning, September 27, 2009, at his home.
Ralph was born in Wellston, Oklahoma on August 7, 1933, to William Jackson and Nellie Susan (Attebery) McCaslin. Living in the Wellston and Cushing area during his school years, he began working in the oil fields, at an early age, and worked his way up to become a drilling consultant in the oil field industry. During the thirty-three years spent in the oil fields, he lived in many different locations until moving to his farm northwest of Reed in 1979. On January 22, 1983, he married Judith Devoll at the Mangum Church of God. They spent the next twenty-six wonderful years together before his untimely death. Ralph loved working on his farm, he loved spending time with his family and friends, but most of all, studying God's Word.
Preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Olive Kriel, Juanita Brown, Ethel Willis and Vera Oxford; two brothers, William Cash McCaslin and Loyd McCaslin, he is survived by his loving wife, Judith, of the home; two daughters, Debra Haygens of Edmond and Peggy McCaslin of Cushing; one son, Larry McCaslin of Oklahoma City; one step-son, Shaun Owens and Deanna of Granite; one sister, Beth Parker and husband Dale of Angoon, Alaska; three brothers, Vernon McCaslin and wife Evelyn of Purcell, Maurice McCaslin and wife Ann of Hilton and Otis McCaslin and wife Agnus of Enid; five grandchildren, Christopher Haygens, Chad Haygens and wife Wendy, Joanna Thorston and husband Joel, Kylene King and husband Corey and Zachary McCaslin and wife Ashley; six step-grandchildren, Shaunna, Destinie, and Zoey Owens and Jordan, Jake and Big Perry; six great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
