GREENWOOD

Randy Greenwood, age 63 of Altus, passed away Thursday, September 21, 2017 at his home in Altus.

Randy was born in El Paso, Texas on October 29, 1953 to his parents Orien Henry Greenwood and Fern Marie (Rhoads). He grew up in Kansas City, Kansas and graduated High School in 1971. He served his country in the United States Air Force from 1973 until 1994 achieving the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. He worked as a Crew Chief in Air Craft Maintenance and received numerous awards and decorations throughout his military career including; the Meritorious Service Medal, the Air Force Commendation Medal with one oak leaf cluster, and the Air Force Achievement Medal with one oak leaf cluster. Randy married Elizabeth Ann Lando on May 15, 2000 in Las Vegas, Nevada and they have enjoyed over seventeen years of marriage together. He worked as an Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor in the Civil Service at Altus Air Force Base for many years until he retired in 2015. Randy enjoyed working and fixing things; working on cars and going to car shows and he was especially proud of his 1940 Ford Coupe, as well as fishing, and spending time with family and friends.

Randy is survived by his wife Elizabeth Ann Greenwood of the home; his father, Orien Greenwood of Missouri; his mother, Fern Murhammer and husband Ron of Missouri; three daughters, Angie Rufer and husband Larry of Illinois; Katie Woodward of Louisiana; and Valerie Wooten and husband Alex of Texas; step-daughter, Lisa Giarratano of Missouri; step-son, Daniel Ross Morrison of California; one brother, Mike Greenwood of Missouri; one sister, Deb Ross and husband Phil of Missouri; ten grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Raegan, Shane, Gavin, Addison, Draven, Ellion, Tony, Jaymee, and Sean, as well as nieces and nephews, other family members and many friends.

The family will greet friends at visitation from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., Sunday, September 24, 2017 at Lowell-Tims Funeral Chapel in Altus.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 25, 2017 at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Military Honors rendered by the United States Air Force, Altus Air Force Base.

Cremation will follow services at Lowell-Tims Crematory under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home and Crematory, Altus, Oklahoma.

Memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude"s Childrens hospital in honor of Randy Greenwood.
