Obituary for Ray J. Harmon
Mr. Ray J. Harmon, age 71, of 600 East 9th St., Snyder, died on August 15th, 1976 at the Comanche County Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services have been set for Tuesday, 2:30 P.M., at Snyder First Baptist Church, with the Reverend Dan Bates officiating and assisted by the Reverend Thermon Richardson. Burial will be in the Snyder Cemetery under direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Mr. Harmon was born July 24, 1905 in Nocona, Texas and he was married to the former Millie Jett on January 15, 1928 at Olustee, OK. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #216 for 31 years, the Order of the Eastern Star #177 for 19 years and also a past patron of Eastern Star. He was a member of the First Baptist Church for 44 years.
Survivors include: his wife, Millie, of the home in Snyder; a grandson, Jackie Kopp of Snyder; one sister, Beulah Worthen of Wichita Falls, TX; two brothers, Troy Harmon of Manitou and Doyle Harmon of Amherst, Texas; two nephews, Troy Edward Harmon of Wichita Falls, TX and Dr. John Worthen, also of Wichita Falls, TX.
