Raymond R. Templer, 74, of Altus died at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be Monday at 2:00pm in the Lowell-Tims Chapel officiated by Rev. Eugene Forman. Burial will be in Rock Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home, 1100 East Tamarack road.

Templer was born February 12, 1916 at Duke, Oklahoma and was the son of Edward and Molly Templer. He was raised near Duke and graduated from Duke High School. He later attended Mangum Jr. College, University of New Mexico, and the Colorado School of Mines. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the US Army, member of the Masonic Lodge, and was a retired Railroad Employee. Until his illness he lived in Silver City New Mexico and was an Avid outdoorsman and fisherman.

Survivors include, three brothers, Woods Templer of Duke, Oklahoma; Marvin Templer of Eads, Colorado, and Leo Templer of Bedford, Texas; three sisters, Ann Hollingsworth of Altus, Mozell Wagers of Vista, California; Madge Perryman of Mangum, Oklahoma. He is also survived by a number of friends and relatives in Oklahoma and New Mexico.
