Obituary for Rhoda Bell Chapman
Mrs. Rhoda Bell Chapman, age 79, of Altus House Nursing Home, died Sunday, February 18, 1968 at the Altus House Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Altus, OK on Tuesday, February 20, 1968, at 2:00 P.M., with the Reverend Gene Garrison officiating. Burial will be at the Altus City Cemetery under direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Mrs. Chapman was married to R.B. Chapman on January 1, 1905 and he preceded her in death August 2, 1958. She had lived in the Altus area for 40 years.
She is survived by: three sons, Lester of Los Angeles, CA, Cecil of Altus, OK and Leonard of Marshall, TX; four daughters, Mrs. D. W. Chandler of Oklahoma City, OK, Mrs. Roy Zachary of Ft. Worth, TX, Mrs. Glen Sommers and Mrs. Bill Jackson, both of Altus, OK; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren.
