Richard H. Strother age 80, of Altus, Oklahoma died February 17, 1969 at his home in Altus.
He was born December 12, 1888 in Lamar County, Texas ( near Paris, Texas) to F. B. and Laura (Huddle) Strother. He married Gladys N. Strother, she preceded him in death September 2, 1961.
He was a veteran of World War I, member of the American Legion, Half-Century Club and Charter Member of the Altus Rotary Club. He had been a resident of southwest Oklahoma sine 1909.
Funeral services for Richard H. Strother are scheduled for 2:00pm February 19, 1969 at the First Presbyterian Church, Altus, officiated by Rev. Charlie Morren and Rev. Dick Martin. Burial will follow in the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Richard H. Strother is survived by one daughter, Mrs. John R. McMahan, Altus, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Renee and Bob; one brother, John Strother, Brookston, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. R. V. Cloud, Paris, Texas; Mrs. H. E. Hall, Paris, Texas.
