Obituary for Robert Arthur Mayotte
Mr. Robert Mayotte, age 62, died Saturday morning at Wilford Hall Medical Center, San Antonio, Texas, where he had remained in intensive care for seven months.
Rosary has been set for 8:00 P.M. Tuesday evening at Lowell Memorial Chapel, with Funeral Mass on Wednesday morning at 10:00 A.M. at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church, officiated by Father Kolb. Interment will be at Altus City Cemetery, under the direction of Lowell Funeral Home.
Born May 11, 1921 at Hudson Falls, New York, he was married at Tampa, FL on September 8, 1941 to Hazel Wheelis who survives of the home. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force, serving his country for 26 years, in WWII, Korea and the Berlin Air Lift. After retiring from the Air Force at Altus, he served as Jackson County Civil Defense Director for 15 years. He was a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church and of the Knights of Columbus.
Additional survivors include: one son, Robert Mayotte, Jr. of Atlanta, GA; one daughter, Betty Ann Larson of Dallas, TX; two sisters, Elizabeth Snyder of Glenns Falls, NY and Beatrice O'Bryan of Hudson Falls, NY; five grandchildren; one brother, Donald Mayotte of Hudson Falls, NY.
