Robert (Bob) Hogue was called home on July 24, 2007 to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Bob was born in Winnsboro, Texas on July 3, 1937. Bob graduated from Quanah High School in 1955. He married Cecile Johnson on October 29, 1955.
Shortly thereafter Bob and Cecile moved to Lubbock, Texas where they resided for 24 years and raised their children, Russell and Terri. In 1982, Bob and Cecile moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where they lived until moving to McKinney, Texas in 2004 to enjoy being Mema and Papa to their grandchildren.
In 2005, Bob and Cecile celebrated 50 years of wedded bliss and were honored by their children with a 50th anniversary party and then went on a month long Trans-Alantic cruise from Rome, Italy. Bob retired in 2004 after 49 years in the grocery business. He and Cecile enjoyed attending any activities in which their grandchildren participated. Bob enjoyed woodworking, a passion he passed on to his daughter, golf, and traveling with his childhood sweetheart, Cecile. Bob was a very loyal, honest, trustworthy hardworking man. He was very considerate of others and will continue to live in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents Robert Lee and Maudie Ophelia Hogue. Survivors include his wife, Cecile Hogue; sister Bonnie Jo LaReau and her husband Charles of Lubbock, Texas; son, Russell and his wife, Dawn of McKinney, Texas; daughter Terri Burrus and her husband Jerry of Mt. Vernon, Missouri; two grandchildren Macy and Kyle Hogue; niece Jo Ann Diaz of Dallas, Texas and twelve other nieces and nephews who loved him very much.
Grave side services for Robert (Bob) Hogue is scheduled for Friday, July 27, 2007 at 11:00 am at the Boggy Cemetery south of Olustee, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the directions of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home of Altus.
