Robert E. Alexander age 43, Duke, Oklahoma died December 21, 1971 at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Robert E. Alexander was born December 28, 1927 in Thomas, Oklahoma to Walter and Faye (Halle) Alexander. Robert graduated from high school in 1945. In 1946 he enlisted in the Army and served until 1947. He was employed at the First National Bank of Thomas from 1948 until 1952. He then served as a bank examiner for F.D.I. C. from 1952 until 1956. Robert moved to Duke, Oklahoma in 1956 and became associated with the Farmer's and Merchant; bank.

Robert married Helen Pickens in 1952. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Duke. A member of the Chamber of Commerce of both Altus and Duke, Royal Neghbors of America, Altus Golf and Country Club, Air Force Association, Oklahoma Bankers Association and president of F.& M. for the past several years.

Funeral services for Robert E. Alexander are scheduled for Thursday December 23. 1971 at 3:00 pm in First United Methodist Church, Duke, officiated by Rev, Elbert Shumaker, Rev. Everett Smatls, Rev. C. M. Rosser. Burial will follow in the Restlawn Cemetery, Altus, Oklahoma.

Robert E. Alexander is survived by his wife, Helen of the home in Altus; three children, Risa, Dathy and Chipper all of the home; his mother, Mrs. Faye Alexander of English Village Nursing Home, Altus; two brothers, W. D. Alexander, San Jose, California and G. L. Alexander, Wotonga, Oklahoma.
