Obituary for Robert Eugene Hodge
Robert Eugene Hodge, 56, a resident of Altus, Oklahoma passed away on February 1, 2023, at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus, Oklahoma.
On January 27, 1967, Robert Eugene Hodge was born in Altus, Oklahoma to Robert Newton and Hazel Pauline Hodge at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Robert was raised and educated in Altus, Oklahoma, and received his education at Navajo.
On February 10, 1985, Robert married Debra Lynn at the Warren Church of Christ. Debra and Robert were blessed with their two children Justin and Leslie.
A huge love of Robert's was his work. He worked at Roosevelt Salvage yard for ten years before moving on to management at Walmart tire and lube express. Wanting to return to his passion for auto salvage Robert started his own salvage and trailer manufacturing business. In his free time Robert enjoyed building and working with cars, going to swap meets with his son Justin and his only grandson Jaxon, spending time at his son's body shop, Hodge's Auto Body Shop, and being with "the guys", his entire world was his family he enjoyed spending every minute he could with them. His favorite vacation spot was Las Vegas, Nevada. One of his greatest achievements in life was being honored with the term "Papa" he held a special bond with each of his grandchildren.
Robert was a member of the Warren Church of Christ and had been baptized in September and rededicated his life to Jesus Christ.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Newton Hodge, and sister Charlene Hollingsworth.
Left to honor his memory are, his wife of thirty-eight years Debra Lynn Hodge; his mother, Hazel Pauline Hodge; son, Justin Eugene, and wife Deleigh Hodge; daughter, Leslie Meacheal, and husband Kyle Jameson; sister, Tammy Lucas; grandchildren, Destiny Danner, Adyson Hodge, Jaxon Hodge, Journey Danner, Twilla Hodge, and Payton Hodge; nephews, Steven Lucas, James Lucas, Timothy Lucas, Jacob Snyder, Jared Snyder, J.J. Card, Jason Card, Chad Card ; Niece, Alice, Dixie Snyder, Lily Card, Dakota Card, Crystal Card, Ra'chael Kelly; Sister - in -law, Melissa and husband Mike Snyder; Brother -in-law, Robert and wife Cynthia Card and mentor and father figure, William Jones.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 2023, at the Warren Church of Christ.
