Dr. Robert Henry Burdick of Altus, Oklahoma, age 82, passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2005 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital.
He was born to Frank and Elsie (Kitchen) Burdick on September 19, 1922 in Bristow, Oklahoma.
Robert married Fern Burdick on July 21, 1942 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. He served in the United States Army from 1942 to 1945. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Gideons from 1970 until present, Masons from 1952 until present, Salvation Army Board, Chiropractic association, and was a Jackson County Memorial Hospital Volunteer.
robert was survived by his loving wife Fern Burdick of the home, two daughters, Dr. Paulette Woods and husband John of Weatherford, Oklahoma, and Janis Jackson and husband Robert of Albuquerque, New Mexico, sister Dona Wright of Denton, Texas, brothers Richard Burdick an wife Marilyn of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Harold Burdick of Tulsa, Oklahoma. He is also survived by his grandchildren Dr. Lori Jordon, Dave Chaffin,
Wesley Jackson, and Russell Jackson and one great-grandchild Ryan Jordan.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Betty Youngblood and Jo
Ann Wheat, and brothers; Dr. Frank Brudick Jr. and
Billy Burdick.
Services will be held Saturday, January 8, 2005 at 11:00am at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jeff Moore officiating.
Interment will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
The family will greet guest Friday, January 7, 2005 from 5:30 until &:30 pm at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
