Robin was born on October 30, 1963 in Mount Holly, New Jersey to her parents, Duncan Gray and Dortha (Duffy) Stakey. She graduated high school and attended college. Robin married the man of her dreams Johnny Hernandez in Wichita Falls, TX and they spent 30 beautiful years together.
During her work career, Robin was employed by the Oklahoma State Reformatory in Granite, OK. She started as an entry level cadet and quickly progressed through the ranks becoming a sergeant. Robin also served as a homemaker. She loved cooking, baking, sewing and stitching and taking care of the family's needs. She was a member of the Warren Baptist Church.
In her free time, Robin loved traveling and taking road trips. Waking up early and watching the sun rise and curling up with a good book or reading poetry were some of life's simple joys that Robin adored. She also liked talking on the telephone with her family and hunting for collectibles at garage sales and antique stores. Robin had many interests and possessed a wide range of talents. She would unwind at the beach haven where she searched for arrowhead and various rocks. She shared special times with friends and family at the beach where they would swim and laugh and relax. Robin also spent a great deal of time tending to her garden and roses. She had a passion for photography and calligraphy and was skilled in both areas.
Robin will be missed by all of the countless lives she touched. She will forever be remembered as a kind, loving mother. Her infectious smile and laugh coupled with the ability to easily make friends with anyone will be cherished always. She left us far too soon, but with so many wonderful and beautiful memories!
