Robin Lynne Taylor Smith, 61 of Hollis, Oklahoma passed away February 15, 2023, at Northwest Texas hospital surrounded by her loved ones.
Robin was born in Hollis on October 6, 1961, to Dale and Jean Keeter Taylor. She was the youngest of 3 children. Robin has been a lifelong resident of Hollis, where she was loved by her family and friends from all walks of life.
Robin has always had a passion for cooking. When she owned the Hollis Inn, you had to get there quick before the daily special ran out. Some of her favorites were her meatloaf, chicken & dressing, chicken & dumplings, and Indian tacos. Robin always loved trying new recipes. She had a knack for just throwing a few ingredients together and making it into a feast.
When Robin wasn’t cooking, she loved spending time with her family and 4 dogs whom she loved dearly. Her happy place was going to the lake, fishing, and schooling her kids on the tricks of the trade. Known by her grandchildren as Nanny, she was a great supporter of their sports and activities they were involved in. Each year they all looked forward to having the grandkid’s semi-annual sleepover at Nanny Robin’s house.
In 2016 Robin lost her husband of 27 years, Harley Kenneth Smith. Robin is also proceeded in death by her parents, Dale and Jean Taylor, and Great-Nephew Bradley Schmidt.
Robin is survived by her children: Josh Martinez and his wife Julianne, George Martinez and his wife Cadie, Janay Riley and husband Russell, Tim Smith, and Tadd Smith. Her grandchildren: Shanna Augspurger and husband Mark, Matt Riley, Mason Riley, Lyndzey Huynh, Ethyn Huynh, Scott Camacho, Presley Riley, Abygail Martinez, Charlie Camacho, Ace Martinez, Baker Riley, Joey Camacho, Adie Mae Martinez, Samuel Pace, and Abel Martinez. Siblings Linda Taylor Hines, Larry Taylor, and wife Marti as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved Robin dearly.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Harmon County Forward at Cattleman's bank designated for our local animal shelter in Hollis. Oklahoma in honor of Robin Smith.
The Smith family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Monday, February 20, 2023, at Harmon County Funeral Home, Hollis, Oklahoma.
