Obituary for Roman Centeno-Guerrero
Roman was born on August 28, 1965, to Roman Centeno Sr. and Francisca Guerrero. He grew up in Empalme Escobedo, Guanajuato, Mexico with his brothers and sisters. Later in life, Roman worked as a mechanic. He was a very hard worker and loved what he did. He made sure to always keep busy.
Roman married Nancy Billarrial in Vernon, Texas in 1989. During their 21 years together they lived in Altus, Oklahoma. From that union of 21 years came their three children Priscilla, Rosalinda, and Martin. Later, they went their separate ways. He was a very loving father to his children, brothers, and sisters. He loved spending time with his brother Evaristo and his nephew Jon and his great-niece Veda and great-nephew Weldon. One of his favorite things to do was spend time with his loved ones. Roman loved to spend time with Evaristo on his farm. He also made sure to bring Weldon donuts every time he saw him. When he wasn't with his family, he enjoyed his mechanic work or having fun at the casino. Roman leaves a legacy of love and devotion to his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents Roman Centeno Sr. and Francisca Guerrero; brother, Javier Centeno; and sister Virginia Centeno.
Left to honor his memory are his daughters, Priscilla Renae Maldonado and husband Michael, Rosalinda and husband Juan Ortiz; son, Martin Ray Centeno, and Wife Marcella ,brother, Evaristo Guerrero; sisters, Hermelinda Benivamonde and Natalia Centeno; grandkids Mariah Miracle Maldonado, Michael Alfredo Maldonado, Cristian Roman Maldonado, Joseph Daniel Centeno, Vanessa Liliana Ortiz, Juan Alejandro Ortiz, and Julian Victor Centeno; nieces and nephews: Jeanette, Jessica, Jonathan, Jaqueline, Lourdres, Mayela, Leticia, Gema, Graciela, Josefina, Jose Guadalupe, Juan, Martin, Jose Cruz, Carmela, Florencia, Jose Francisco, Blanca, Paula, Olivia, George, Paul, Mark, Laura, Roman, Jose Manuel, Sergio, Amparo, Fermin, Jaime, and Jose; as well as many other loved family members and friends. Roman was loved by everyone who knew him and he will be missed by many.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at Lowell - Tims Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Altus City Cemetery, Altus, Oklahoma.
