Obituary for Ronald Lee Duncan
Ronald Lee Duncan of Altus, OK passed away on January 28, 2022, at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. He was a resident the English Village Manor Nursing Home and was 77 years old at the time of his death.

Ronald was born on February 2, 1944 to James and Geraldine (Gilbranson) Duncan in Madison, Wisconsin. He attended Lawton Senior High School and was a member of the graduating class of 1962. Ronald married Susan C. Watts on December 27, 1963 and they shared 46 loving years together until Susan's passing in 2009.

Ronald had an extensive background in journalism. His career included work with the Lawton Constitution, the Oklahoma City Publishing Company, the Dallas Morning NEWS and the Wall Street Journal. After retiring from the writing arena, Ronald worked as a custodian for Anthony Elementary and Chapparal High School in Anthony, Kansas.

In his spare time, Ronald enjoyed reading and learning about history and riding around on his Cushman scooter. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, James & Geraldine Duncan; his wife, Susan Duncan; and two brothers: Jimmy & David Duncan.

He is survived by his sons: Neal Duncan of Enid & Brain Duncan (Francie Houck) of Haysville, KS; one daughter, Ronda Sherwood and husband, Doug of Wichita, KS; his sisters: Earlene Hubert (Leroy) of Oklahoma CIty, OK; Nancy Flowers (Ronald) of Soldier Creek. OK; and a host of other relatives and friends,
