Obituary for Rosa Molina Betancourt
Rosa Molina Betancourt, age 55, passed away suddenly on Friday, February 20, 2009, at the Vista Care Center in Lubbock, Texas.
Rosa was born June 22, 1953, to Ramon Molina and Margarita Betancourt in Aguascalientes, Mexico. She was a dedicated nurse and loved her job until her health required her to retire. Rosa lived in Altus for several years, then moved to California, Nebraska, and finally moved to Plainview, Texas where she spent the last two years.
She married Juan Gaitan in 1991, in Vernon, Texas. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family meant the world to her. She will be greatly missed.
Rosa is survived my her husband, Juan Gaitan of Colima, Mexico; her daughter, Claudia Perez Molina, of Lincoln, Nebraska; three sons, Oscar Perez Molina of Los Angeles, California, Juan Carlos Perez Molina of Jersey City, New Jersey, and Ramon Gaitan of Lincoln, Nebraska; two grandsons, Juan Calzada, Jr. of Lincoln, Nebraska and Eric Perez of Los Angeles, California; four granddaughters, Diana Calzada, Yadira Calzada, Karen Calzada, and Claudia Calzada, all of Lincoln, Nebraska; one great-grandson, Cadillac Nicholas of Lincoln, Nebraska, and a son-in-law, Juan Calzada of Lincoln, Nebraska.
Rosa was preceded in death by her parents, Ramon Molina and Margarita Bentancourt, one brother, Ramon Molina, and two sisters, Maria De Jesus Molina and Guadalupe Molina.
A Vigil will be held at the home of Rosa Molina Betancourt, 509 W. Broadway, Altus, Oklahoma, on Monday, February 23, from 6:00 - 8:30 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2009, at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church with Deacon Eulis Mobley officiating. Interment will follow at the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
