Royce Earl Hudson


Royce Earl Hudson 71, of Altus, Oklahoma Died Saturday at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Services are scheduled for 10:00 A. M. Tuesday, August 3, 1993 in the Lowell Tims Chapel. Rev. Alex Maldonado will officiate with interment at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.

Earl was born April 17, 1922 to Guy F. and Ella Mae Hudson in Victory, Oklahoma. He married Dorris Hite, February 22, 1944 in Kingman, Arizona. A Veteran Air Force Officer of 23 years, Mr. Hudson was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal with three oak leaf clusters for his 35 missions as a B-24pilot in WW11, and service in Korea. He retired from the
Air Force in Altus in 1964 and in 1971 earned his Masters Degree in Education at Southwestern Oklahoma State. After a brief teaching career he retired to farming.

Visitation will be held Monday, from 7 to 9 at the Lowell Tims Funeral Home.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Donna June Hudson in 1947. He is survived by his wife, Dorris Hudson of the Home in Altus, Oklahoma, four children, Robert Hudso0n of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Janet Lethgo and husband Will of Dallas, Texas, Paula Smith and husband Mike of Altus, Oklahoma and Cynthia Berdan and husband Martin of Plano, Texas. Also two brothers, Hilton of Headrick, Oklahoma and Guy Hudson of Altus, Oklahoma, One sister Mary Abernathy, Altus, Oklahoma, Eight Grandchildren.
