Ruby Knowlton, age 96, of Snyder, Oklahoma died March 20, 1982 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital, in Altus.
Ruby was born December 31, 1885 in Searcy, Arkansas to Horace and Sarah Fetcher (Smith) Clay. She taught school in Kiowa County for 17 years. She had been a resident of Oklahomma since 1901, moving to Snyder in 1903.
Funeral services for Ruby Knowlton are scheduled for Monday, March 22, 1982 at 10:00 am in the Church of Christ, Snyder, officiated by Kern Porter. Burial will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Ruby Knowlton is survived by two sisters, Jessie Knowlton, Snyder, Oklahoma; Mrs. Mary K. Lodge, Fairfield, California; two nieces Mrs. A. W. Howard. Bastrop, Texas; Mrs. Jim Redman, Fairfield, California; two nephews, Homer C. Knowlton, San Antonio, Texas; Julian Lodge, Alameda, California.
