Obituary for Ruby Lee Cumbee
Mrs. Jess "Ruby" Cumbee, age 83, pioneer resident of this area, died Thursday morning at Jackson County Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services have been set for 2:00 P{.M., Friday at the First United Methodist Church, officiated by the Reverend C. C. Gober. Burial will be in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Funeral Home.

Born February 2nd, 1893 at Vernon, TX, she was married at Altus in 1912 to the late Jess E. Cumbee who died in 1961. They were associated for a number of years with the Braddock-Cumbee Drug in Altus. Mrs. Cumbee has been an active member with the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion, a Past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star, a member of the Worthy Matrons Club and the Erolethian Club. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include: a nephew, Mr. Charles Cumbee of Lafayette, LA; and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Ethelyn Burkett of Altus.
