Obituary for Ruby Pearl Hayes
Ruby Pearl Hayes, age 90 passed away Wednesday, December 29, 1999 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. she was born November 28, 1909 in Sulphur, Oklahoma to Landon C .and Oma (Bryce) Winkler. On December 24, 1932 in Jackson County Ruby and Charlie L. Hayes were united in marriage. He preceded her in death in August of 1973. Ruby was a cook in the Altus Public School System for many years, before retiring in 1974. Ruby was a lifelong resident of the Altus and Jackson county area, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Altus where she was a longtime Preschool Teacher.

She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Cargal and husband, Junior of Altus, Oklahoma, Kayla James of Altus, Oklahoma; two brothers, Shorty Winkler and Jess Winkler both of Altus, Oklahoma. She is also survived by four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and two great-great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and three brothers.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00am Friday at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Wiginton officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
