Obituary for Ruby Ruth (Stevens) Hayes
Funeral services for Ruby Ruth Hayes, age 72, have been set for 2:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon at the Park Lane Baptist Church with The Reverend John Rushing officiating. Burial will be in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hayes was born near Norman, OK on April 18th, 1913, the daughter of Jess and Lula Stevens. On May 31, 1926, the daughter of Jess and Lula Stevens.
On May 31, 1926, she was married to Clyde Hayes who preceded her in death in 1966. In 1953 they moved to the Altus area. At the time of her death she was visiting her daughter in Chicklasha, OK. Mrs. Hayes was a full time homemaker and raised ten children. A son, Lloyd Gene Hayes, preceded her in death in 1985.
She is survived by four sons, Walter Hayes of Muskogee, OK, Earl Hayes of Oklahoma City, OK, Jack Hayes of El Reno, OK and Albert Hayes of Dallas, TX; five daughters, Lois McBee of Antlers, OK, Anne Evans of Chickasha, OK, Juanita Ryans, also of Chickasha, Julia Molina of Altus and Ruth Hayes of Vernon, TX; 30 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren.
