Rufus Finis Carlton, age 83, died Monday, January 8th, 1990 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital.
Services are scheduled for Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Pentecostal Church of God in Hobart, Oklahoma, with the Rev. Don Heath officiating. Burial will be in the Family Plot at the Roselawn Cemetery in Hobart, Oklahoma, under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Carlton was born October 1st, 1906 in Woodville, Alabama. He was the son of the late A.H. Carlton of Hobart. He married Lorene Smith on May 7, 1927. He was a retired farmer and general contractor.
Survivors include: his wife, Lorene of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Carlton of Altus, OK; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Glayde Winters of Altus, OK and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Keller of Oklahoma City, OK; three brothers, Charlie of Oklahoma City, OK, Floyd of Warner, OK and Clyde of Lakeside, CA; three sisters, Bernice Jackson of Prague, OK, Louise Cruse of Barstow, CA and Dona Beach of Hobart, OK; six grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
