Ruth Laverne Stucky, formerly of Ponca City and McAlester, Oklahoma, died Sunday, October 28, 2006 at the Plantation Village Care Center in Altus, Oklahoma. She was 87.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Tuesday, October 31st at Grace Memorial Chapel in Ponca City with Dr. David Whitlock, Pastor of the Lebanon Baptist Church of Lebanon, Kentucky officiating. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Grace Memorial Park Cemetery. Ruth Stuckey was born April 27, 1919 in Cerrogordo, Arkansas, the daughter of Tucker and Rebecca May (Edison) Cooper. She lived in McAlester from 1949 to 1964.

She was married to Harry Stucky on October 24, 1965 in Wilburton, Oklahoma. Mr. Stucky preceded her in death in May of 2000. Harry and Ruth operated the Blackwell Livestock Auction for 20 years prior to moving to Ponca City in 1980.

Survivors include one son, George Wilburn and wife Ruth Ann, of Altus, Oklahoma; three
grandchildren; three grandchildren; two grandchildren. She is also survived by and nine great-children.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and one sister.
