Sally Ann Taylor passed away on September 26, 2024 at the age of 80 in Oklahoma City, after a brief illness. She was born on December 18, 1943, in Altus, Oklahoma to Seburn “Seb” and Lela (Mims) Graham. After graduating Altus High School, she married Robert Burnett and relocated to Long Island, New York.
Later returning to Oklahoma, she married Lee Doughty, making their home in Altus where they raised their four children. Sally worked as the assistant city clerk, then later as the manager of the utility office for the City of Altus, where she retired after 35 years of service. She was a long-time member of Highland Heights Methodist Church in Altus. Sally enjoyed reading, spending time with family and traveling. Many of her nieces and nephews called her their favorite aunt, while many others say Sally was the most selfless person they know.
Sally is survived by her husband, Ron Taylor, of the home; sister-in-law Rae Graham of Altus, Oklahoma; children Tim Doughty and wife Toni of Louisville, Sheri Lein and husband Ernie of McKinney, Texas, Patrick Doughty of Edmond, Oklahoma, David Doughty and wife Angela of Altus, Oklahoma, and Christie Birchfield and husband Dale of Antlers, Oklahoma; grandchildren Tyler Lein and wife Kelby, Casey, Jayla, Kensie and Mathew Lein, Chelsea Rolph and husband Mitch, Carleigh Dyer and husband Tanner, Logan Doughty and, Addison and Gunnar Doughty. Great-grandchildren, Kamryn Lein, and Hux, Hendrix, and Harlan Dyer.
Sally is preceded in death by her parents, Seburn and Lela Graham, brothers Ronnie Graham and Max Graham, and sister Sonya Reid.
Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 5th, at Lowell - Tims Funeral Home Chapel, Altus, Oklahoma.
