Obituary for Saowadee Hoppe
Saowadee "Sam" Hoppe, long time resident of Altus passed away May 26, 2018 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital.
Sam was born August 14, 1930 in Korat, Thailand to Jom and Get Vissetsawanawat. Sam met Joseph Hoppe when he was stationed in Thailand. They were married December 25, 1971 in Korat, Thailand. In August of 1972 the new Hoppe family was relocated to Altus, Oklahoma. A proud moment in her life was becoming an American citizen. Sam started working as seamstress at Kellwood's in Frederick, Oklahoma. She also worked for Ok-1, Speedo and Altus Athletics. Sam enjoyed gardening, sewing, fishing but most of all she enjoyed being with her friends and family.
She is survived by her husband Joseph Hoppe, sons S. Tawesook, B. Tawesook, Taksin Anthony and Kelly Hoppe, daughter Dianna Noi Marshall and James Farley. Four Grandchildren living in the United States Teandra Marshall, Tyson Marshall, Olivia Long, and Maxson Long, also several grandchildren living in Thailand, one great grandson Addison Marshall Reyes.
She was preceded in death by two children and her parents.
Funeral services will be Thursday May 31, 2018 at 11:00 Am at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Altus City Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Lowell -Tims Funeral Home.
