Obituary for Sharon Denise Johnson
Sharon Denise Johnson, a beloved lifelong resident of Hollis, Oklahoma, passed away on August 29, 2024 in surrounded by those who cherished her. Born November 19, 1975, in Altus, Oklahoma to Ricky Byrd and Merline Bell. She was raised in Hollis, Sharon graduated from Hollis High School in 1995 before earning her diploma in phlebotomy from Southwest Votech Central. Her career at Harmon Memorial Hospital, where she served both as a lab technician and temporary lab manager, reflected her dedication and passion for her work and her patients.
Sharon was previously married to Charles Johnson, with whom she shared the joy of raising three children. Despite the end of their marriage, Sharon's commitment to her family remained unwavering. She was a devoted mother, known for her enthusiastic support at her children's sports events and her constant pride in their achievements.
A cherished member of Calvary Community Church, Sharon's vibrant voice graced many services, and her faith was an integral part of her life. Her hobbies included fishing and spending quality time with her grandchildren and friends, with whom she loved to share moments of joy and laughter.
Sharon was preceded in death by her father, Ricky Byrd. She is survived by her mother, Merline Bell Myers of Hollis; her children, Khalil Johnson(Jamie) of Altus, Malic Johnson of Hollis, and Charsy Johnson and (Fabian Nunez) of Hollis; her brothers, Jason Bell and Marcus Bell, both of Hollis; her sister, Lillie Bell (Redrick Watson) of Hollis; and her six beloved grandchildren: Kenlee Johnson, Jayla Johnson, Jayci Johnson, Amir Johnson, Maddox Johnson, and Cyrus Nunez. Additionally, she is remembered by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and her cherished church community.
Sharon Denise Johnson's life was a testament to love, devotion, and joy. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Family services will be held at a later time.
