Obituary for Shawnee Jackson
Mr. Shawnee Jackson, age 52, of Amarillo, Texas, died on Wednesday, October 6, 1968, due to an automobile accident on Highway 62, West of Altus.
Funeral services will be held on October 7, 1968, Church of God In Christ, 2:30 P.M. with the Reverend N. C. Coffer officiating. Burial will be in the Altus City Cemetery under direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Mr. Jackson was a member of the Church of God In Christ. He was married to the former Dorothy Mae Daggett February 2,1946 in Vernon, TX. He had lived in Amarillo for five years and was an City of Amarillo employee.
He is survived by: his, wife, Dorothy Mae of the home; five sons, Jackie Jean in the service, Arthur Jean in the service; Michael Wayne, Shawnee, Jr., Lorenzo, all of the home; four daughters, Brenda Joyce Kemp of Amarillo, TX, Dorothy Laverne, Caren Yvonne, and Lorraine Jackson, all of the home; one grandchild; four brothers, Max Jackson of Aubrey, TX, Isaac, Mell and Shannon, all of Altus; three sisters, Mollie Carruthers of Altus, OK, Ceaky Lewis of Oklahoma City and Margaret Lewis of Midland, Texas.
