Obituary for Shelby Marlin
Shelby Marlin, age 92, of Altus, Oklahoma, died Thursday, December 3rd, 1992 at the Altus House Nursing Home.
Services will be Friday, 2:00 p.m. at the Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by the Rev. Marshall Howard of Moore, OK and assisted by Rev. Keith Wiginton. Burial will follow in the Restlawn Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
Mr. Marlin was born September 17th, 1900 in Grand Prairie, Texas. He married Eula Harper June 11, 1920 at Blair, OK. Mr. Marlin lived in this area all of his life. He was a member of the Frist Baptist Church of Altus, and an ordained Deacon since 1930. He was a licensed cotton classer for 30 years and has been a Kiwanis member for many years.
Survivors include: his wife, Eula Marlin of the home in Altus, OK; a daughter, Betty Dillingham of Altus, OK; a sister, Jewell Wallace of Tulsa, OK; two grandchildren, Karen Weaver and Fred and Mary Brooks; one great-grandchild, Michael Weaver; two nieces; one nephew.
