Sherman Blevins age 75, of Altus, Oklahoma, died November 14, 1982 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus.
Sherman was born April 13, 1907 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He married Ruth Coleman April 13, 1929, in Cordell, Oklahoma. Sherman was currently a member of Administration Board at Church and has held many church offices. He was a substitute teacher for the Builders Class.
He had been a resident of Altus since 1940.
Funeral services for Sherman Blevins are scheduled for Tuesday, November 16, 1982 at 2:00 pm in the First United Methodist Church, Altus, officiated by Rev. Bill Moss. Burial will follow in the Restlawn Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Sherman Blevins is survived by his wife, Ruth of the home in Altus; one son Loren Blevins, San Antonio, Texas; daughter-in-law Francis, two grandsons, Lari Blevins, Texas University, Austin, Texas; Barry Blevins, Sul Ross State University, Alpine, Texas.
