crowned Miss Bradwell as a young lady. After high school, she spent her summers working at
Butlin’s Holiday Camps. She enjoyed working for the camp and spending her off-hours on the

with a daughter, prior to their eventual separation.
Shirley met Bill Weaver and their love led to marriage in San Antonio, Texas on February 23,
1968. The Weavers blended their two families. In October 1969, the Weaver family settled in
Altus, Oklahoma. Four years later, on a rainy Friday the 13 th , they welcomed a son. Shirley
began working at Altus Air Force Base at the Officer’s Club, where her attention to detail and
dedication eventually led her to become the Human Resources Officer, from which she retired in
1998. Beyond her career, Shirley enjoyed watching all the major tennis events, especially
Wimbledon. She also had a genuine passion for bingo. But her favorite hobby by far was
watching her grandkids sporting events, at home and traveling to other towns to watch them play
tennis, softball, baseball, football, and swim meets. She was known for her unconditional love,
kindness and devotion to her grandchildren, who meant the world to her. Her faithful companion,
