Obituary for Silas S. Vickers
Mr. Silas S. Vickers, age 82, long time resident of Altus, died Tuesday night at Jackson County Memorial Hospital.

Graveside services have been set for Friday in San Angelo, Texas under direction of Johnson Funeral Home of that city. Local arrangements are with Lowell Funeral Home.

Born January 20th, 1896 at Liberty Hill, Texas, he was married in 1948 at Vernon, Texas to his wife, Tollie Vickers, who survives of the home in Altus. He was a retired railroad employee and a member of the First Christian Church in Altus.

Additional survivors include: two sons, Gene Vickers of San Angelo, TX and Robert Vickers of Buchanan Lake, TX; one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Lincoln of Dallas, TX; nine grandchildren.
