Obituary for T.L. Ledbetter
T.L. Ledbetter was born Jan. 14, 1927 at Globe, Texas. He was the son of the late Tom and Myrtle (Stapleton) Ledbetter. He died Dec. 13, 2003 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. T. L. married Sue Dennis, July 10, 1948 at Vernon, Texas. He served his country during World War II in the United States Army.
He was the Assistant Fire Chief with the Altus Fire Department when he retired. He later was a truck drives for Bates Brothers Trucking. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Altus and a member of the Discovery 1 Sunday School Class. favorite pastimes included reading, fishing and spending time with friends over coffee and doughnuts. His greatest love was for his family.

Survivors include wife Sue Ledbetter of Altus; one daughter Carol Loague and Stacy of Altus; one son John Ledbetter and Karen of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, sister-in-law Jackie Chadwick of Floydada, Texas, one niece Denice Payne of Floydada, Texas, two nephews Royce Chadwick of Huntington, West Va., Travis Tidwell of Paris, Texas, three grandchildren Stephanie Loague of Altus, Keri Ledbetter of Oklahoma City, Ok., Amy Ledbetter of Oklahoma City, Ok. A number of other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Elmer Ledbetter, and one sister Della Tidwell.

Services for T.L. Ledbetter are scheduled for 2 pm Tuesday, December 16, 2003 at the Lowell-Tims Chapel with Dr, Jeff Moore officiating. Interment will follow at the Altus Cemetery.

The family will greet friends, Monday, December 15, 2003 at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home from 6:30-8:00pm.
