Obituary for Takashi Daniel Keith Hager
Takashi Daniel Keith Hager, age 12, of Altus, Oklahoma, passed away suddenly following a brief illness on Wednesday, December 18th, 2002, at the Comanche County Hospital in Lawton, Oklahoma. Services have been scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 21, 2002 at the Lowell-Tims Chapel. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 23, 2002, at the Ft. Sill National Cemetery in Lawton, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
Takashi was born August 15th, 1990, in Okinawa, Japan. He was the son of Daniel A. and Laurie R. (Scott) Hager. He had lived in Altus since January of 2000, when his father was assigned to Altus Air Force Base. Takashi was home-schooled and was a bright, energetic young man. He loved airplanes, fishing, hunting and especially enjoyed Role Playing. His "heroes" were Daniel Boone and Davy Crockett and Takashi was very interested in all aspects of their lives.
He is lovingly survived by his parents, Daniel and Laurie Hager of the home in Altus, Oklahoma; nine brothers and sisters, Benjamin Ian, Christina Noel, Aaron Scott, LaelAnn Sara, Tomokazu Joel, Yutaka Hiogyoshi, Wesley Nobunaga, Megumi Pamela, and Lydia Naomi, all of the home; his paternal grandparents, Keith and Chieko Hager of Tokyo, Japan; his maternal grandparents, James and Mary Scott of Portland, Oregon and Gladys H. Carl of Arlington, Virginia; his great-grandmother, Anna Scott of Eugene, Oregon; and by his aunts and uncles, Nancy and Jun Barican of Naples, Florida, Pam and Rick Kauffman of Upper Marlboro, Maryland and Richard Scott.
Takashi was a joy and a blessing to the many family and friends who will miss him deeply.
