Obituary for Terry Lynn Hollen
Terry Lynn Hollen, 60, of Altus, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, May 4, 2012, at English Village Nursing Home in Altus.
Terry was born August 26, 1951, in Fort Polk, Louisiana, to Leo Earl and Klyda E. (Mitchell) Hollen. He attended the Altus Junior College and later went to Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma, where he obtained his Bachelor"s Degree. Terry served his country in the United States Army at Ft. Benning, Georgia. He taught elementary school in the Moore Public School System for several years. Terry returned home to be near his mother and step-father when illness affected his career. He was later admitted to the English Village Nursing Home on January 24, 2006, in Altus.
Preceded in death by his father, Leo Earl Hollen, he is survived by one son, Willy Hollen and wife Shea of Altus; his mother, Klyda Ellingwood and husband Douglas, of Altus; step-sisters Brenda Cribbs and Burgundy Cribbs of Altus, Oklahoma; two granddaughters, Konlee Hollen and Whitlee Hollen, both of Altus; aunts, Leanna Marshall and husband Harvey of Hobart, Oklahoma, Rita Belcher of Dallas, Texas; and Joyce Walling of Duncan, Oklahoma.
Memorial Graveside Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 10, 2012, at the Eldorado Cemetery with Ray Jolin officiating. Lowell-Tims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
