Obituary for Thelma Frances Shumaker
Thelma Frances Shumaker, age 91, passed away Sunday, April 18, 2004, at Grace Living Center in Altus, Oklahoma.
Thelma was born November 10, 1912 in Eldorado, Oklahoma, to Frank and Kate Easley and graduated from Midway High School. Thelma married Dillon H. Shumaker on Jan 14, 1936 in Altus, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death June 20, 1967.
Thelma was a member of the Eldorado Church of the Nazarene and the Eldorado Historical Society. She enjoyed traveling, quilting, painting, music and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Thelma was preceded in death by her parents and husband Dillon. She is lovingly sirvived by one son Milton Shumaker and wife Barbara of Eldorado, Oklahoma; one daughter, Yvonne Pepper and husband LaVere of Johnson, Kansas; three grandchildren, Allyn Pepper and wife Karen of Yukon, Oklahoma, Raylon Shumaker and wife Michelle of Eldorado, Oklahoma, Kristi Mikles and husband Kevin of Wiesbaden, Germany; six great-grandchildren, Keil and Kendra Pepper of Yukon, Oklahoma, Katelynn, Kriston and Kelby Shumaker of Eldorado, Oklahoma and Amy Mikles of Weisbaden, Germany; one sister, Katherine Freeman of Altus, Oklahoma and two brothers, Gordon Easley of Alma, Arkansas and Lawton Easley of Van Horn, Texas.
Graveside service will be held Tuesday, 10:00 a.m., April 20, 2004 at the Eldorado Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends Monday, April 19, 2004 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Eldorado Chapel.
