Obituary for Thelma Maurine Arney
Thelma Maurine Arney, 85 and longtime resident of Altus, passed away Wednesday, May 26, 1999 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, May 30, 1999 at 2:00 at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev, Keith Wiginton officiating. Interment will follow in the Altus City Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
She was born February 15, 1914 in Oklahoma to the late J.D. and Lawrence King. She graduated from Friendship High School in 1934. Thelma worked for over 20 years for Roberts Drive-In and for several years she worked at South west Transit. She was a very active member of the First Baptist Church in Altus.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother and one sister.
Thelma is survived by one son, Don Arney and wife, Barbara of Modesto, CA; one daughter, Carol Allred and husband, Pete of Altus, Oklahoma; one brother, Don King and wife, Lucille of Willard, UT; one sister, Elsie of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one granddaughter, Jeannie Brumbalow and husband, Jimmy of Lawton, Oklahoma; two great-granddaughters, Crystal Farmer and husband, David of Altus, Oklahoma and Shannon Kellison of Lawton, Oklahoma; two great-great-granddaughters, Christina Ramires and Whitney farmer both of Altus, Oklahoma.
