Thelma Spangler was born on December 15th, 1902 in Alice, Texas to Samuel E. and Adaline Hill Hunt. She died on November 6th, 1990 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital.
She belonged to the Garden Club, Rose Club, First Baptist Church, L'Auiguille Club, taught Sunday School, played piano and was secretary for the Sunday School Department, member of the Women's Auxiliary of the American Legion and she attended Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas. She was also a committee member of the Church Memorial Fund.
Survivors include: her husband, Carroll Spangler of the home in Altus, Oklahoma; two sons, Robert L. Spangler of Louisville, KY and Phillip Marcy of Lawton, OK; two brothers, Fred Hunt of Phoenix, AZ and Samuel E. Hunt, Jr. of Holiday, FL; one sister, Naomi Berwick of Denver, CO; one granddaughter, Karol E. Spangler of Louisville, KY.
